It is my belief that stoneflies will one day soon become as popular as caddis patterns when it comes to fishing our trout streams around the world. The more we learn the more valuable these insect become as a year round food source. There are key times when the stonflies are most actively hatching but they are available to feeding fish through out he entire season in different size ranges as the develope through out their two to three year life time. This version of a sally nymph was inspired by the band Ominous Seapods version of Sally. Sneaking Sally through the alley back in the mid 90's. Not only do I love that song, I love this bug. It will fish great during Sally and Golden hatches so don't be shy to throw it any time as a search pattern. |
