Our Legacy Collection fly rods incorporate T.L. Johnson’s unique graphite resin system along with helical reinforcement. This allows us to design rods that are very light, yet extremely durable. All Legacy rods are balanced to achieve low swing weight. Line weights offered in the Legacy Collection are 2-10 with multiple actions to cover a multitude of fresh and saltwater fishing situations. Medium action through Ultra-Fast action make Legacy rods the ultimate in versatility and portability with all models being offered in multi-piece configurations. All Legacy Collection rods feature a beautiful Colorado Gloss Green and are proudly made in the U.S.A.

All LX rods are handcrafted with choice of black anodized aluminum uplock with woven green graphite insert or nickel silver uplock with cocobolo spacer standard. Heavier rods come with black anodized aluminum uplocking seat with woven green graphite insert and fighting butt.

LX rod actions are Ultra Fast.

LL rods come with high-quality components and a nickel silver uplocking seat or a nickel silver cap and ring seat with choice of wood insert. LL rods are the ultimate for the angler seeking a true dry fly action. All LL rods are 4 piece. Very Light in weight, LL rod actions are Medium to Medium Fast.
LP3 rods are custom built for the angler wanting something a little special. Handcrafted with custom handmade agate stripping guides and handmade snake guides and tip tops, the LP3 is a beautifully-crafted fishing tool that is also a work of art.
LP3 rods are all 3-piece.

T.L. Johnson’s LS rods are all fitted with quality components, but are made affordable. They are proudly made in the U.S. A. for anglers who need a rod which meets budget criteria without skimping on quality. LS rods come in 4 piece configuration and are Medium-Fast action. The LS is a true workhorse rod that won’t break the bank!
